ON THE RISE is the latest project by critically acclaimed director Femi Agbayewa, founder of Real Livin’ Films. “My vision for the program is to highlight the journey, trials and success of some of the most exciting and interesting entrepreneurs around the globe in the cultural context of Africa, [Lagos, Johannesburg , Nairobi and Accra],” says Mr. Agbayewa. ON THE RISE can be described as an intimate TED Talk set at a different pace.

It resembles the Sundance program "The Writer's Room which sits down with the creators and head writers of critically acclaimed prime-time television shows to examine the aura in "the writers' room" and the writers' mental process through each episode.”

Where it differs is that ON THE RISE provides unfettered access to African entrepreneurs from a variety of industries that are at the proverbial “tipping point” and engages them in conversation that highlights visions, journeys, mental process, alongside their commonalities differences in an entertaining and informative way.
